„The survey results regarding the product HARIBO Goldbears clearly prove that "dual quality" does not apply to HARIBO products. In fact, quite the opposite: the analysis results confirm that our HARIBO products are of the same quality throughout the EU. The same applies to the quality of the raw materials used by us.

For a start, it is already essential for the HARIBO Group to maintain a consistent quality standard throughout the EU because its respective production facilities are not allocated to any particular sales area. In actual fact, the HARIBO Group operates a flexible system that allows us to change the production site for a particular product at short notice according to the available capacities. A system like this would not be possible if HARIBO were to manufacture one and the same product in varying qualities. The slightly different order in which the ingredients are listed is due to the fact that each HARIBO factory draws up the ingredient lists independently and the contents may therefore marginally differ due to the actual calculation method applied and the raw materials used. This variance occurs only in a proportion range of < 2%, by weight. According to the EU General Food Law Regulation, the order of the ingredients may be varied in this range.“

This study shows, that despite the declared same composition, there is a difference in the texture of the product. 1 of the 3 products tested was softer. This is probably due to the use of more gelatin in the production.
